Call for poets
The Latin American Foundation for the Arts, Inc. convenes the third International Latin American Poetry Festival (FEIPOL), which follows the theme of peace, and will be held from October 4th to 6th 2018, in the city of McAllen, Texas, and is governed by the following rules:
I. PARTICIPANTS
All writers who wish to participate in FEIPOL may register with three original poems written in English, Spanish or code-switch between English and Spanish that reflect the Latin-American experience or environmental issues. They may participate as presenters in FEIPOL only if their work has been selected by the qualified jury.
II. WORKS
Each work must be original and unpublished. The poems will be sent through the registration form, which is found in the Registro para poetas (poet registration). While poets are encouraged to submit works that coincide with the festival's theme; in the selection process, no priority will be given to the poems focused on the theme of peace over those dealing with different subjects that reflect the Latin-American experience.
III. REGISTRATION FORM
To participate in the festival, each poet must submit a complete registration form before 11:59 p.m. of February 20, 2018. No work will be accepted after registration deadlines; no exceptions. Biographical data of the selected authors will be used for various purposes such as: conveying information in the anthology and advertising the festival.

General- $30 Students and Military personnel- $15 Covers registration, which includes one guaranteed reading and complete access to all other readings. One ticket for the closing gala. Registered Poets will receive:
The submission of the following form does not guarantee your participation in this festival. A registration committee will select the participants. Once accepted to participate in the festival you will receive a notification and a link to submit the registration fee. Registration fee only applies for participants who have been selected. |
